The Board of Directors of the Delaware State Funeral Directors Association consists of association members in good standing, elected by their peers. These funeral professionals have shown, through active on-going participation, their commitment to the continued growth of this organization. During their term of service, the men and women of the Board listed below provide the inspiration and guidance for the many activities and professional development events held each year by the Delaware State Funeral Directors Association.

Todd Harra, President

Todd has been with McCrery & Harra since 2004. A graduate of Unionville High School and Elon University, Todd graduated summa cum laude from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service where he was the recipient of the prestigious Dr. John McAllister Memorial Award. Todd received certification in Advanced Post Mortem Reconstruction from the Fountain National Academy of Professional Embalming Skills. He is the only civilian embalmer in Delaware to have completed APMR certification. Additionally, he is a NFDA Certified Crematory Operator, and licensed in the state of Maryland. Todd is the secretary of the Delaware State Funeral Directors Association and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association.

Todd appeared on the cover of the 2008 Men of Mortuaries Calendar, a fundraiser for the KAMM Cares breast cancer foundation. He is a member of the Brandywine Hundred Rotary Club, where he is a past president, and president of the Devon Civic Association. He also serves on the board of directors for the Marshallton United Methodist School and is a member of the Wilmington Writers Group. Todd is an Amazon bestselling author having authored several books about the funeral profession. He has written pieces for Southern Calls and Delaware Communion.

Maureen Krienen, Vice President

Maureen E. Krienen is fourth generation in the Krienen funeral home legacy. Her great-grandfather opened the funeral home in 1917, her grandfather owned and operated the business from 1963 until 1993, and currently her father is at the helm.  
Maureen is a graduate of Padua Academy and the University of Delaware. In addition to her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware, Maureen received her Mortuary Science Degree from American Academy McAlister Institute in 2017 and is now a licensed funeral director. She has been a licensed preneed consultant since 2011.
Maureen was born and raised in New Castle, and currently lives in New Castle with her dog, Ralphie. She is a member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, and coaches the 7th-8th grade volleyball team. She loves to ski, and has volunteered with the Special Olympics Alpine Team of Delaware.

Bill is a 2003 graduate of Saint Mark’s High School, a 2007 graduate of Gettysburg College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management; and a 2013 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He has been involved in the family business since 2000, and began working full-time in 2010. He represents the third generation at Doherty Funeral Homes, and takes great pride in following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps. Bill lives in Hockessin with his wife, Kelly, and their two daughters.
